About this fanlisting

This is a fanlisting for the character Hoggle from Jim Henson's classic 1986 film, "Labyrinth".

The movie starred David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly as well as a large cast of Jim Henson's creatures. One of these creatures was a dwarf who was gruff and cowardly when it came to Jareth, the Goblin King (played by David Bowie), but overcame his cowardice for a girl who was travelling the immense and tricky Labyrinth to regain the brother she had inadvertantly wished away. Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) was lucky indeed that she made friends with Hoggle, as he rescues her from bad situations many times in the story. Even though he did put her in danger at least once with an enchanted peach, he hated himself for it, and it was one of the catalysts that helped him finally overcome his fear of Jareth.

Frustrated with baby-sitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah - a teenager with an active imagination - summons the Goblins from her favorite book, "Labyrinth," to take her baby step-brother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into the world of the fairy tale to rescue him from the wicked Goblin King!
Guarding his castle is The Labyrinth itself - a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah will have to outwit the King by befriending the very Goblins who protect him, in hopes that their loyalty isn't just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems!
