About this fanlisting This fanlisting is for Stonehenge. Stonehenge is one of many mysterious henges, or stone circles, that reside in various places around the United Kingdom. Scholars have debated for centuries on what the purpose of these henges is, but it's something that was lost in the world's history. Stonehenge in particular is located on the Salisbury Plain in southern England. It's the largest henge that's been found so far, and was constructed between 1900 and 1650 BCE. The most common interpretation of the purpose behind the henges seems to be based in astrology and astronomy. Other theories include the keeping of time and the seasons, magical gathering places for ancient druids, and there's even a theory which states that the henges were constructed on places of immense natural power. My personal thoughts? I think the henges are multi-purpose, and can and have been used for any and all of these purposes.
